No Surprise – Hotels Go Green

With all the focus on global warming these days people have been more inclined to ‘go green.’  Some do it for image, because it is the trendy thing to do these days, while others do it for the ‘greater good.’  It is no surprise then that many hotels and resorts are making an effort to decrease their carbon footprint.  This is evident in the Phoenix valley, where luxury resorts are a dime a dozen.  Donna Hogan has an article in the East Valley Tribune touching on ‘going green.’

“Scottsdale’s tony resorts and trendy urban hotels are going green. The upscale inns are replacing standard light bulbs with less energy-devouring fluorescents and installing low-flow shower heads to save water.”

Many of the hotels are finding ways to conserve energy and recycle without the customer noticing anything different.  To read more click here.
