Ibiza Boutique Hotels

September 3rd, 2008

Ibiza is a Mediterranean island located of the coast of Spain. It is part of the Balearic Islands. It’s largest city is Ibiza Town.

Ibiza is a well known tourist destination and has become renowned as party island due to the large amount of clubs that exist in Ibiza Town and Sant Antoli. These are the home of some well known nightclubs including Privilege and Eden. Many of the world’s top Djs perform at these clubs throughout the year.

The island is also famous for its beaches as it has some of the finest beaches in the Mediterranean. The quieter beaches can be found on the north of the island. The beaches on Ibiza are calm and clear and great for diving or snorkeling. Many of the busier beaches offer jet skis, parasailing, pedaloes and other forms of entertainment.

Hotels on the island are prevalent. These include a fine range of Ibiza boutique hotels. The quality of hotels has grown as the Spanish Tourist Office has attempted to change the image of the island from a clubbers destination to a more family-oriented, up-market, cultured destination.

Large portions of Ibiza are World Heritage sites and protected from commercialization. These isolated beauty of these sites have become popular with artists and photographers. Film makers are also attracted to these locations.

Ibiza has two prime seasons – hot, busy summers with many tourists and long, quiet and cooler winters where tourists are few and far between.

New Travel Check For Foreigh Visitors to US

July 31st, 2008

There are new travel screening checks getting lined up for foreign visitors to the US.

Europeans and others who travel visa-free to the United States can start registering in August for a new online security screening check that will become mandatory in January to enter the U.S., officials said this week.

The new security measure will replace current paper forms that foreign visitors from the 27 countries that participate in the U.S. visa waiver program have to fill out once they enter U.S. territory at airports and seaports. It will not apply to land border crossings into the United States, where authorities will continue to use the paper forms.

The Electronic System of Travel Authorization — or ESTA — “will help to modernize our pen and ink system and bring it into the 21st century,” said Jackie Bednarz from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. “All travelers including children of all ages must have an approved ESTA beginning Jan. 12.”

No fee will be charged to fill out the online form, which will be valid for trips to the U.S. over a two-year period or until the traveler’s passport expires within that time.  Read more…

Toyo Tires or Nitto Tires?

July 31st, 2008

I was recently in the market for tires. I didn’t know what I needed exactly either. Some people said I needed Toyo tires and others said Nitto tires. I didn’t know what to do. I eventually found a tire store and they helped me choose exactly what I needed since I didn’t know how to choose tires.

I was able to find some great tire and wheel packages at Performance Plus Tire and Auto Center. They helped me to figure out what I needed exactly and to stay within my budget. The guys there even put them on my car and it didn’t take long at all. I even had fun. I don’t know anything about cars but now I feel like I could  do this on my own. I learned exactly what I should have always known and I feel confident in my tire and rim abilities now.

I think PPT really knows their stuff. They have a fantastic staff and an enormous selection. They even taught me how to change a flat tire. I will go back to them if I’m ever in this situation again.

U.S. Open Tennis Coverage on The Tennis Channel

July 30th, 2008

Summertime in the U.S. means tennis because the U.S. Open tennis tournament takes place from the end of August through the beginning of September. The U.S. Open coverage will be shown on the Tennis Channel. They always have great commentary and their analysis is second to none. I predict that Rafael Nadal will play in the men’s singles final. I’m not sure who I think he will play against, though.

This tournament differs from the three other Grand Slam tournaments in that there are final-set tiebreaks. It makes the tournament last a bit longer. The U.S. Open tournament is played on the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on an acrylic hard court. Each winner gets $1.4 million and it begins with about 600 males and female professional players. This year the prize money comes to a whopping $120.6 million.

It should be interesting because most all professional players will represent their respective countries in the Olympics beginning in August. They won’t get much rest between tournaments but this is fine for most players as they love the competition.

Enjoying Your Stay while in Downtown L.A.

July 29th, 2008

The downtown district of the City of Angels is in the midst of a revolution with the opening of the Nokia Theatre in October last year, the relatively new Staples Center, and a burst of construction bringing new shops and renovations to old ones in the area. There’s a lot to see and do in the downtown area of Los Angeles, for both business and pleasure. When resting from a long day of activities, wouldn’t it be ideal to stay some place nice?

Perhaps the most flamboyant of accommodations, the Figueroa Hotel stands tall in the heart of downtown. Entering the hotel is an experience like Alice entering the looking glass and being taken to a whole new world. Brightly colored tapestries and wall colors complement an abundance of detailed, textured wood in an amazing display of rich décor. The exotic ambiance even caught the eye of French entertainment troupe, Cirque du Soleil, for their Varekai private party. Leave your worries behind; you don’t have to be a world famous entertainer to stay at the Figueroa. Guest rooms are available and affordable as an alternative to the usual hotel chains.

However, if a more of the same hotel chain room suits your tastes, perhaps the best option is the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites. Service truly is what separates the Bonaventure from the rest. The hotel boasts varying rooms for those on business and those just on vacation to ensure whatever your needs, they are met. Upon your arrival, a bellhop is likely to give you a warm welcome and provide swift assistance. Renovations have ensured the elegance of the restaurants and hallways are carried over into the guest rooms. The hotel has been an icon since opening in the 70s and prominently featured in movies like In the Line of Fire, Nick of Time, and This is Spinal Tap. More recently it can be seen in the popular CSI television show and this summer’s Hancock.

Next Day Blinds Has It All From Window Blinds to Window Treatments

July 28th, 2008

Getting new window blinds can be a daunting task. It sounds simple enough but if your window treatments are a part of your decor, then you probably want something a little different than the cheap plastic blinds that many people have. I wanted something different and something better. The problem was that I didn’t know what I wanted or where I wanted to get them.

I did a Google search for ‘blinds’ and found Next Day Blinds. I was able to go through their Website and find all different kinds of blinds. I settled on bamboo blinds for my guest bedroom because it has a sort of Asian theme. It’s not over the top or anything but now with the bamboo blinds, it is just right. For my living room I got plantation shutters. They are absolutely beautiful and they add a lot of personality to it. For my kitchen I got honeycomb blinds. I wanted to keep the heat out but not the light. The honeycomb blinds are perfect for that. The room stays sunny and my air condition bill stays low. Next Day Blinds really does have everything you could need for window treatments.

Hotel Del Coronado in Coronado Island, California

July 15th, 2008

The Hotel Del Coronado is a famous resort located on the edge of the beach on the island of Coronado close to down town San Diego. The hotel is one of America’s most famous hotels with quite a bit of history attached to it and dates back to 1888. The hotel has a distinctly Victorian feel about it – although in many ways it is also has a contemporary and modern feel about it.

The resort defiantly has a romantic feel about it and during my visit to the resort I witnessed umpteen weddings. This is also the place for family vacations – with lots of things to do including special programs for children and teens. Examples include surfing lessons, smores parties and tie dying parties.

As it is a large resort in a wonderful location the hotel is popular with business meetings and seminars. It has over 65,000 feet of meeting and exhibition space.

The Hotel Del Coronado is a truly a classic American experience!

No Big Surprises for the 2008 Wimbledon

June 30th, 2008

I think that Justine Henin’s surprise retirement was the only shock in the tennis world so far this season. Almost everyone predicted that Nadal would win the French Open and now that we are in the middle of Wimbledon, it’s not surprise to see Roger Federer knocking his opponents out of the tournament. In fact, I think that he will win for a sixth straight year and I think that this year he will beat Nadal.

I predict that one of the Williams sisters will win the Wimbledon for the women’s singles. It might even be them playing against each other. I think this must be difficult for their father because in order for one of his daughters to win, one must lose. I have seen him sit right at the court line when they play each other so as not to show that he wants one to win over the other. I bet the girls enjoy playing against each other though.

So while it is predictable, I think the tennis season is interesting if you look a bit deeper into the players lives. Roger Federer surely wants to beat his nemesis, Nadal. Nadal surely wants to knock Federer out of the number one spot. Henin is watching from the sidelines and probably enjoying not having to play. And the Williams sisters are preparing to play against each other once again.

Quality Makes Sun Tattoos Shine

June 19th, 2008

Though there are many online sources for tattoo information, designs and flash, it is important to always opt for a reputable resource that is reliable and experienced. The world of tattoos is now a super hot industry where many fly by night operations have set up shop at an unbelievably rapid pace. However, not all offer the same quality. Searching for highly regarded providers with years of knowledge will yield various names such as Bullseye Tattoos. This is often after previous searches have lead to dead ends that provide little in the way of the information or detail that searchers have been looking for.

There are those who have learned too late the importance of choosing quality when it comes to tattoos. Whether one is looking for sun tattoos or fairy tattoos, the secret to making sure there is satisfaction with what will be a life lasting decision is unequaled superiority. It is well known that those who have a good experience with their first tattoo are more than likely to invest in another. Improvements in application, design and equipment has played a strong role in the resurgence of tattoos over the last decade. With improved quality, individuals can now look forward to a tasteful and attractive result.

Dale Carnegie Offers Leadership Training Coast to Coast

June 19th, 2008

Getting leadership training in Minneapolis is easy with Dale Carnegie. That’s right. The author of How to Win Friends and Influence People has a company that works with people to provide classes on leadership, sales, presenting… just about anything you could need for your job. Dale is gone but the company holds true to his values and the courses they offer will help you with your job.

If you need presentation skills in Minneapolis as well, the local branch will help you get enrolled in what you need when you need it. And if you need presentation skills in North Dakota there is a local branch available there as well. Really, every state has at least one location, usually more. And there are even branches in other countries, such as Australia or even Thailand.

Custom Rims Help Couple Escape Sonoran Heat

June 17th, 2008

Working on cars is something that I love to do. I am not as good as a professional but I really enjoy doing that in my free time. I bet mechanics enjoy surfing the web or playing video games during theirs. You know, the opposite of each other. I am going to be putting the custom rims that I just got in the mail on my car. After that it will be ready to take for a spin. I need to paint her and to do a few other things to her but she’ll be able to go for a drive around town after the custom wheel set is on her.

I’m going to polish her and make sure that every detail is just right and by the end of summer I should be able to enter her into all of the car shows that I have time for. I like cruising around in my free time also, so driving from show to show will be fun. I hope my wife knows about all of the places we’re going to be going this summer. We live in Arizona so the temperature is in the hundreds all summer long. Because of that I think she’ll want to go with me.

Permanent Make Up Looks Great 24/7

June 16th, 2008

Permanent make up has changed my life. I wake up looking great, I don’t have to spend very much time getting ready in the mornings and I save money because I don’t have to buy make up. I also love it because I can swim or exercise without worrying that the water or sweat is going to smear my make up. I have my lips done, my eyeliner and eyebrows done. I feel great all of the time and all I have to do is add powder and mascara.

The permanent make up supplies that are available now are fantastic. They really seem to have all of the pigments that they need to make the perfect color for every complexion. And the guns they use are the best available. It’s amazing how much permanent cosmetics has grown in the past several years. It’s easy to find a technician and with the great equipment, it’s easy to look great 24/7.

Maps of Florida and Mexico Represent Great Trips

June 11th, 2008

I really enjoy traveling. Seeing new places and experiencing new cultures has always interested me and I’ve been to several countries and almost every state. And it’s pretty easy to tell which places I spent any amount of time in because my maps get more and more worn as I travel more and more.

My map of Florida is very worn out. I have been to Disney World several times, Miami Beach and really just about any place that’s big enough to be marked on a map. The Magic Kingdom is a lot of fun and I love the fireworks that they have every night. I also love spending time at the beach and Florida has a lot of gorgeous beaches. I avoid going when all of the spring-breakers are there, though.

Another map of mine that is thoroughly worn out is my Mexico map. I have been to most of the boarder towns and to many of Mexico’s beaches. My favorite area is the Mayan Riviera. I also love Mexico City. It is full of so many people and it has such a rich culture. Every time I go I visit the shrines to San Juan Diego and the Virgin of Guadalupe. It doesn’t matter what religion you are, it’s a part of the Mexican culture and it’s breathtaking.

My maps may be well worn, but to me they represent great memories.

Map of Italy Shows Travels

May 22nd, 2008

Traveling is a favorite hobby of mine. In fact, there are few things that I enjoy more than seeing the beautiful Earth. I’ve been to a lot of countries and you can tell which of those I saw the most of based on the condition of the map or maps that I used to get around. Some are stained with food, others with drinks. Some are wrinkled and some are as good as new because I did not travel that country much.

I have a map of Italy that is well worn. There are several wine stains on it and even what I assume to be pasta sauce. I loved everything that I saw there and everything that I ate. The Leaning Tower of Pisa really looks like it’s about to fall over. And the wine and foods are delicious. The people were very kind to me also. Some European countries do not seem to like Americans but Italy is not one of them.

My map of Mexico is almost as good as the day I got it. I did not travel outside of the tourist areas there because I was told that it was even dangerous for Mexicans, American men and especially American women. Instead I spent most of my time in Mayan Riviera on the beaches. I got a nice tan and did not risk life and limb to see the off-the-beaten-path sites.

However, my map of India looks like I saw every square inch of the country. I wrote the names of towns and villages that were too small to be on a map. I did not eat much while I was there because the poverty level was so incredibly high that I actually felt guilty eating. I still enjoyed the country very much but I felt terrible eating more than necessary because I could. I bought several people meals there and tried to give out a lot of change.

So, while I have not been everywhere, I am trying to see every country before I leave this earth. There are so many wonders to behold and so many interesting people that I haven’t met yet.

Arizona Drug Rehab for Young Adults

May 21st, 2008

Getting drug treatment for a loved one that is addicted does not always seem like it is ever going to happen. But many times if the person is caught off guard in an intervention, they will agree to check into a drug addiction rehab program. These interventions need to be supervised by a professional and they need to be carried out with love and hope, not anger and hostility. Often, interventions disappoint the loved ones and friends of the addict but it is an important tool to use when trying to get someone into treatment.

There is an Arizona drug rehab that only takes substance abusers between the ages of 17 to 25 or so. This is because many of these people are still in school and because the life skills they need to learn are going to be different than a 50-year-old’s. Also, many people that are this young don’t know how to do their own laundry and they must learn. While the older people would not need to learn those skills most likely.

Methamphetamine use and abuse is a growing epidemic. The effect that this drug has on dopamine is insane and getting into a drug abuse rehab facility is the only treatment option as far as most are concerned. This drug along with others are very, very addictive and quitting on your own is almost always fruitless. Treatment is the only option and it should be considered.

Golf Instruction for the Ages

May 16th, 2008

When most people think of careers in golf, they often think of today’s most popular golf players. Very few ever think of the number of individuals behind the scenes that make the golf industry what it is. Were it not for various instructors, greens keepers, managers or public relations professionals, becoming a popular golf athlete might be much more difficult. Golf is a multimillion-dollar industry that supports many different kinds of careers. While some careers may not get a person on the cover of a sports magazine, they can still very satisfying both personally and financially.

For example, many have found a very enjoyable livelihood through golf instruction. While this career can entail teaching children of a very young age, it is often where great players get their start. Gifted players often remember their first coach long after they have moved on into a world of championships and tournaments. The chance to have an influence on young golf players is why many turn to venues such as San Diego Golf Academy to earn a degree in coaching golf. It is a chance to instill one’s own love of the game in others that can last a lifetime.

With Liberty League Int Life Improves

May 16th, 2008

Living paycheck to paycheck is not the dream of most people. And besides not ever seeming to get ahead, I was sick and tired of working to help someone else accomplish his dreams. That is when I discovered Liberty League Int. Through their system, I was able to make small changes to my life and they added up to make a huge difference. I no longer work for someone else. I work when I want to and how much I want to, usually about 20 hours a week.

I read a Liberty League Intl article online and knew that I could do what thousands of people in the Liberty League family did. And now I am living my dreams in reality. I get to go to great places like Miami Beach and Canada for life-changing conferences. I left with pearls of wisdom that I was able to apply to my life. And things only seem to get better and better. Not only do I have financial freedom, I am accomplishing all of my dreams–even childhood dreams that I forgot about.

LLI changed my life and I hope that everyone gets involved with this group. I go on great trips and see the world. I meet fantastic people that have great attitudes and I’m networking the entire time that I do these things. My business only improves with time and my family life has never been better. It’s amazing how a few changes here and there have made me a better person.

Next Day Blinds Video Leads to Interior Decorating Ideas

May 13th, 2008

I was looking for interior decorating blinds recently when I ran across a Next Day Blinds video. I found it to be educational. I now know about how certain blinds can help with heating and cooling because they are insulated. I think I might go with custom blinds though. We have unusual windows and the colors that I want in the living room and in my bedroom are very specific and I don’t think regular ones will work.

I also ran across other interior decorating ideas. I saw that you should not go out and buy a new couch just because it is in style. Instead you should buy accessories to go with the trend that you like. After all, the bright red couch that is in right now will be old news next season. A better way to get the look you want is with pillows. I also find that picture frames can add a lot to a room and the wall art can also.

I also think that lighting can change the interior decorating of a certain room. Choose lamps that reflect your lifestyle. Don’t get a crystal lamp if you have children that will undoubtedly break it. Instead choose one that is more durable and practical. On that same note, if you want the Victorian lamp and you know that it will not get broken, go for it.

Out of all of the ideas on interior decorating, I think that I like the window blind ideas the best.

French Open Results Show Fan’s Hope

May 11th, 2008

I’m hoping that this year’s French Open results shows Justine Henin winning again. She has won the past three years and she hold the record of most consecutive women’s singles French Open titles, consecutively, with Monica Seles. If she wins this year, she will break her own record.

Henin went through a very public divorce and still won last year. She seemed to have a lot of determination and since she did not lose a match, her French Open scores showed it to the world.

For the men’s singles, I hope to see Roger Federer finally win. He has lost the past two years to his rival Rafael Nadal. These two have one of those relationships where the competitiveness between them drives them to be even better. But Federer is aging out of professional tennis and this is the only Grand Slam event that he hasn’t won.

So, hopefully the French Open news will show Roger finally winning the beautiful sterling silver Roland Garros trophy.

Search Leads to Next Day Blinds then Home Decorating

May 1st, 2008

While doing retail market research, I found a company that is associated with Next Day Blinds. Retail business is always changing and with people doing searches for everything from "interior decorating ideas" to "market share strategies," it’s amazing that I found this website.

I found decorating ideas while doing this market research and I was soon distracted. I ended up picking out all sorts of things that I want for my home. I found the perfect area rugs, kitchen blinds and a paint color that will look great in my house. I’m really impressed with all that I found.

That’s the thing about the Internet, you never know what will show up when you do a search. Sometimes everything is that shows up in the organic search is not entirely relevant. But sometimes it is. I guess it just depends.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software

April 29th, 2008

CRM or customer relationship management is a term used for the process or methodologies as well as software that help an organization manage their customer relationships as well as finding out about their needs and behaviors.  The goal is to improve their relationships with all customers.

CRM is more than technology – rather it is a process that pieces together all aspects of information relating to the client.  This can include sales, marketing, customer service, help desk, quality, and research.

Access to this information helps employees to have an accurate view of the customer history when communicating with them.  This helps to give an insight into customer behavior and their value.

CRM software helps to provide improved customer service, increase sales, improve efficiency and simplify processes.  This can take the form of online CRM or traditional desk based software.

What is a Class Action Lawsuit?

April 29th, 2008

A class action lawsuit involves an action involving one or more plaintiffs.  These plaintiffs who are named in the complaint, as well as their counsels take up a case for themselves and the class against one or more defendants.

The claims arise from facts or from law which is common to all the class members. Most class actions are plaintiff class actions.  Occasionally a class action can be filed against one or more defendants representing a group of defendants.  This is known as a defendant class action.

Most class actions are filed for monitory compensation. Class actions may also be filed to resolve disputes where there is limited money available and so all class members cannot be compensated. Sometimes they are filed to seek a declaratory judgment. They may also seek injunctive relief.

Top SEM Tips

April 16th, 2008

Web designers are expert at design. With that in mind most designers are not marketers and are unaware of the implications of online marketing. If you do not optimize your site it’s like designing a beautiful brochure and putting it in a drawer where no one can see it. Search engine optimization opens your site up to search engine spiders and the people searching for your products and services.

Internet marketing and search engine optimization are concerned with higher search engine rankings and increased traffic to your web site. If the traffic is targeted to your products and services it can increase your sales and business dramatically. Look out for top search engine optimization tips to help you out.

Search engines such as Google use various criteria to determine which sites will rank highest for particular search terms. These include; the age of the domain, the meta tags, the site content and the links pointing to the site from other related sites. Therefore the highest ranking sites will be given to those that have been around for a while, have relevant meta tags and content relating to the search terms, and have links from other ranked sites with similar content. High ranking sites are deemed ‘authority’ sites. Find more SEO tips and articles and information at Top SEM tips.

Maps of Norway Help to Remind of Favorite Movies

April 14th, 2008

Europe has a very rich history. Some of the oldest cities in the world are in Europe and many great things have happened there.

If I were able to visit Austria, my maps of Austria would have all of the major cities circled. Besides visiting those cities, I would want to go to the mountains where The Sound of Music was filmed and see that little place of history. Salzburg would be the second on my list, just after Vienna. I think visiting all of the world famous places would be so memorable.

I would also like to visit Norway. My Norway maps would have Oslo circled because that is where the leading female character in Casablanca, Ilsa, was from. She had the most beautiful accent and the way she talked about growing up in Oslo romanticized it to me as I watched that movie over and over again.

I would also love to vacation in Poland. My Poland maps would have Warsaw circled on it. Poland lost many of its citizen during WWII and I would love to see that part of its history and to give my respects to the deceased.

I think that more of the time it would

Liberty League Helps Mother Realize Dreams

April 9th, 2008

I have been to several Liberty League Int conferences and I’ve always discovered ways to unlock my inner potential. I leave knowing that I’ve grown as an individual and as wife and mother. The better I am to me, the better I am to my family is my philosophy. I also love all of the places I have visited with Liberty League.

I have fire walked in Australia. I have zip-lined in South Africa. I have been to Cancun, Mexico, with the guys from Liberty League Intl. Miami Beach was my favorite spot though. I found the people interesting and the weather perfect. The sky was an unreal color of blue and the water was warm but not hot. I loved every minute that I spent there and I felt like I had an extended family.

I always learn how to live my dreams and I get motivated and inspired by the speakers there and through the atmosphere of the members. It has worked for me and my family. I feel like we have control of our lives now and we’re loving it. I’ve never been happier in my life.

Maps More than Directions for Vacationers

March 21st, 2008

While recently cleaning out my Winnebago, I found several maps from past trips. I took them inside and added them to the non-RV trips and I discovered that I had quite a collection. Of course there was a map of USA, a couple of Texas maps, and three Canada maps.

But the coolest was the map of Asia. It took us a long time to save up enough to fly overseas but we finally did and we loved it. The food in Japan was our favorite. I have never had such delicious sushi in all of the hundreds of times that I even it. The tuna was so fresh!

My wife liked visiting the Philippines the best of any place we went to in Asia. She really liked the people there. She said they were very nice and she felt somewhat safer there then she did in some of the other countries we visited. But I told her we were the same amount of safe everywhere. They had delicious foods also.

I made notes on the Asia maps of all of the countries we went to and how I liked the food and how my wife liked the people. I guess we’ll know where to go next time.

Cheap Rims and Tires Make Parents’ Car Safe

March 19th, 2008

I needed car tires for my Toyota. I could only find expensive ones at the regular tire stores around town. I finally went online and did a search for "toyo open country tires" and I found great custom rims and tires for a price that I can afford. I blew out a tire a few weeks ago and after I replaced that one I noticed that the others weren’t looking so good.

After my tires came in I put them on my car and went for a ride. I could not believe the difference that having new, balanced tires can make. It had felt like the road was covered in potholes or was uneven. Now I know that it was my old tires. They weren’t even black anymore because they were so old.

Anyway, I went to see my parents and when I got there I noticed that they needed cheap rims and tires too. Now they’re on a fixed income but I was able to order them very reasonably priced tires and rims that were very high quality. They said that after I left they went for a drive and they could tell there car was driving smoother.

Searching For Theater Tickets

March 18th, 2008

I love going to live theater. Its so much more exciting than a movie for me. I love the costumes, the stage sets and most of all seeing real actors in the flesh getting to grips with a role.

What do I look for when buying theater tickets? Well I either look for established shows such as Lion King tickets or entertaining spectacles like the Blue Man Group tickets.

For a really special evening I recommend going out for a nice meal before heading to the theater. Then heading to the theater bar for a drink before the show. And after the show going for coffee or a nightcap to round off the perfect evening!
