French Open Results Show Fan’s Hope
I’m hoping that this year’s French Open results shows Justine Henin winning again. She has won the past three years and she hold the record of most consecutive women’s singles French Open titles, consecutively, with Monica Seles. If she wins this year, she will break her own record.
Henin went through a very public divorce and still won last year. She seemed to have a lot of determination and since she did not lose a match, her French Open scores showed it to the world.
For the men’s singles, I hope to see Roger Federer finally win. He has lost the past two years to his rival Rafael Nadal. These two have one of those relationships where the competitiveness between them drives them to be even better. But Federer is aging out of professional tennis and this is the only Grand Slam event that he hasn’t won.
So, hopefully the French Open news will show Roger finally winning the beautiful sterling silver Roland Garros trophy.
