Aspen Managers Split on Effect of $87 Lift Ticket
With its $5 increase for this upcoming ski season, Aspen tops the list of ski resort prices with $87. Some hotel managers beleive that the peak price will not have an adverse effect on the upcoming season’s visitors, while others are a little more cautious like Scott Olpin, general manager of the Molly Gibson Lodge and the Hotel Aspen who said:
“I would assume that lift ticket prices impact both of my hotels. People today shop. And when they are budgeting for their rooms and their meals and their entertainment, that will directly affect putting everybody in the family truck and heading to Aspen versus Tahoe or Park City.”
