This is a real situation that can happen. It is called squatting and was set into law during the Great Depression. This more than anything else explains what is meant by “Possession is nine tenths of the law.” It turns out that if an owner is not using a property someone else can simply take that property by living there and using the land or house for a specific period of time. This time period has changed, and you may want to find out how long it is in your city, but better than that would be to hire a property management company.

The island of peace and tranquility has become quite the island of fun over many years. It has been an on going, ever changing, industry for a number of decades. Some of the entertainment parks have had their share of big start up excitement and closed up endings. There was a miniature golf park that had over 50 different landscaped greens with three different 18 hole courses called Sijori Wondergolf. This mini golf facility is currently closed for renovation so visitors may have to just go play with the big boys on the big course at Sentosa Golf Club

Visitors used to flock to hotels on Sentosa Island in the 1990s to spend some time at Fantasy Island. It was a water based theme park that featured lots of water slides and other water ride features. It was a very popular theme park but it closed its doors after a number of accidents occurred. There were two fatalities which brought a lot of legalities so the park closed in 2002. The main water attraction to spend time at today is the Wave House.

Volcanoland has been closed down to they can build another resort which will integrate the artificial volcano attraction into the whole complex. It used to have a Mayan theme so it will be interesting to see if they stay with that or move in another design direction. Another partially used leftover attraction is the Sentosa Monorail. It used to circle around sentosa until they shut it down in 2005. Most of it was torn apart, but they kept the monorail service that goes between Singapore and Sentosa.

The Musical Fountain was a very popular main attraction for 25 years. Each day this fountain would come alive as it danced to fun music and was lit up with colorful lights and lasers. The water was manipulated to all forms of mist and sprays as stories of legends to center stage. Now people come to see the updated replacement for the Musical Fountain, which is the Songs of the Sea Show. The Songs of the Sea promises to give the best in pyrotechnics, water, lights, lasers and flames that can be had. This show shouldn’t be missed.

The Supreme Court ruled that unless murder is involved, kids can not be sentenced to life in prison with no chance for parole. The idea is not to make it possible for all offenders to get out of prison, but to give young offenders a chance down the road to show that they have changed through their time in jail and can now be a functioning member of society. In short it means to acknowledge that a person can change between the time when they are a child and the time they are an adult. However, the reason they came to this conclusion was not so much for that reason, but because the young man who came to them had been disproportionate to his crimes.

In the hunt to find out if former FTC chief was hired by Facebook to help them with their privacy issues, a story was almost buried.  It can to light that someone had at some point hacked one of the Board Member’s accounts sending out phishing messages to any and all who it could get a hold of. Now, for most common users this would just be an annoyance, which you then have to go through some training on what is safe to click on and when you probably shouldn’t click on a link. For a top exec at Facebook, this is bad news. It is probably a good thing that it only sent messages out to his friend’s the program not realizing what it had gotten it’s fingers into. If this had been a person, we all would have been in trouble.

Nine member of the militia in the Midwest have been accused of trying to overthrow the government. While previously it had been offered that they would be able to be released into the public until their trial was heard, it has now been determined that they should be asked to stay behind bars for a while longer on the complaints of a few lawyers who say that these men are a security risk to all civilians. It is understandable that they would feel this given the charges laid out against them, but when you listen to the records of their meetings that are being shown as evidence it seems a little bit ridiculous. Laughter like that of little kids playing fills the spaces between them plotting with very little detail plans to kill police officers.

Checking Twitter this morning only to realize that all my followers were gone. Actually, this also was the case for a few other people I knew, and had therefore heard about it before I checked twitter. There were still people’s status updates, but the profile said there were no followers. It turns out it was a glitch and it probably shouldn’t be worried about. Twitter claims that they were fixing a glitch that allowed you to make anyone accept your friend request so that celebrities would have to follow your feed. It was a large glitch, discovered and published by Gizmodo. In order to fix it all twitter profiles can not follow or unfollow people, as well as the profiles all claim that no one has any followers. They are claiming it will be back up and running soon.

Driving at night, on a long stretch of highway, can be either the most lonely thing in the world, or the most incredible moment in a life. As a company, or as a person we often hear how important it is to have a social media profile, with all your information on there, so that you can reach the right people. That is in itself still a debatable point, but the truth in the matter is that while it can be very important these days to have a number of social media profiles across the board, it is even more important to have the right information up on the right social media profiles. It was predicable in a number of ways. Iranian President Ahmadinejad gave a speech on Nuclear Weapons at the UN on Monday, that was by all standards fairly predictable. Charlie Crist would be running as an independent and with a very good chance to win. The other two members of the race would of course have the backing of their party to back them up, something he won’t have, but that may hurt them more than help them.

A lot of people have Beatles fever again and it has certainly affected the whole nation. As it has spread so have the movies and now another one is coming up.
